Intriguing Website

Dear Friends of Holy Grammar

I discovered the most interesting site a few days ago Thanks to my student Hans! It has both German and English translations available which is really convenient and the content and quality of writing is excellent.

The writer is Johannes Gerloff who is a German born photo journalist who has been living in Israel for 30 years, he has a very pragmatic honest perspective and I really enjoyed the academic style of writing.

Hans and I worked through one particular article which I thought was brilliant. I have to include my favorite paragraph, see below for the link to the full article. For context he was talking about the withdrawal of God's presence and how in fact this was necessary after "the fall" in order to protect his creation, which He deems precious - us!

If He did not withdraw, if He did not limit His being, the weight, the density, the intensity of His glorious presence would simply crush us, simply blow us away. We would have less chance of existence in His presence than a drop of water on a red-hot stove top.

Wow, does that not put the concept into perspective?

Here is the link to the full article: Enjoy the read!
